Susan Earle Mauzy,47, passed away October 3, 2011. She graduated from Bellaire High School, and attended Rice University where she earned a B.S. of Electrical Engineering in 1985 and a Master of Electrical Engineering in 1991. Her strength of character was shaped through many summers as a camper and as a counselor at Geneva Glen Camp in Colorado, home of some of her fondest memories. She was a life-long lover of band music and was a member of the Houston Concert Band. Susan was the former secretary and current treasurer of the Bellaire Band Parents Organization. She was an employee of NASA for 26 years and a recipient of three Space Flight Awareness Awards. Susan is survived by her husband Derek Mauzy; Sons, Ian and Reed Mauzy; Father, Edward Earle; Mother, Nan Earle; Sister, Elizabeth Earle, all of Houston and Grandmother, Frances Robinson of Denver, CO. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2011 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4930 W. Belfort.
