Robert Alan Maurer

Robert Alan Maurer was born in Ventura County, California to to Robert Francis and Alice Kathryn (Martin) Maurer. He passed away at his home in Houston, Texas on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the age of 71. He moved to Houston when he was a senior in high school and graduated from Bellaire High School and the University of Houston. Bob owned and operated Maurer Landscape and Maurer Gardens for more than four decades. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, playing guitar, feeding his feathered friends and attending Jazzercise class. He was an active member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Steve Shrout. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia Ann (Fournier) Maurer; his son Joseph Alan Maurer; his brother, James Maurer and his wife, Theresa; three sisters, Ann Maurer, Elizabeth Shrout, and Mary Alice Greaney and her husband Patrick.

Memorial mass will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2023, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 6921 Chetwood Drive, Houston, Texas 77081.
