Anyone who knew Louise, realized she was a very, very special lady. Her children are so thankful to have had such a wonderful Christian Mother. She loved the Lord, was always home when they got home from school with a snack, and cooked for her family every night – always making sure to cook extra for neighbors, church members, and friends who were sick. She took her children to church every Sunday, and never once wavered in her support and love for them. Louise and Johnny were married 50 years and her family is happy to know they are reunited with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. She was a role model for her family to aspire to, and always offered everyone unconditional love without judgement. A precious and rare jewel that all of us were blessed to know. She loved everyone so well, and was loved, admired and respected well in return. She also loved little children and was the preschool director at Westbury Baptist Church for many years, she taught Sunday school for 50 years, and went on to be the Director of Love and Joy Daycare for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Donald Rankin; parents, Era and Oscar Nelson; sister, Helen Womack; and brother, Bud Nelson.
She is survived by son, John Paul (Ginnie) Rankin; daughter, Sandra Rankin Fox; grandsons, Matthew Rankin and Tanner Rankin; granddaughter, Tiffany (Austin) Miller; great granddaughter, Presley Miller, and many nieces and nephews.
