Marilyn T. Shields, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2017 surrounded by her family. From her birth on May 29th, 1932 to her death on Thursday she nourished people around her with unfaltering love and faith. Marilyn is preceded in death by her eldest son David Shields and sister Betty Stoker. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Jack Shields, sister Martha Whitehead, daughter Sandra (Rex) Goodman, son Robert (Katie) Shields and David’s widow, Loretta Shields Verwers. Marilyn’s grandchildren include: Adam, Chris, Tony, Bobby, Greg, Steven, Jayme and 6 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Westbury Baptist Church, 10425 Hillcroft Ave., Houston, TX 77096 on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 at 3:00pm.
