Margaret Frett Arnold was born January 9, 1918 in McHenry Illinois. She graduated from Rosary College (Chicago, Illinois) in 1939 with a Bachelor of Music. Margaret married Harold Edwin Arnold on October 10, 1939. They raised seven children: John Edward, Peter Andrew, Michael Joseph, Margaret Elizabeth, William George, Mary Agnes and Thomas Paul. Margaret had eleven grandchildren 15 great-granchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Margaret’s passion was always music:she directed the choirs at Holy Ghost Catholic Church and Corpus Christi Catholic Church, produces and directed musicals to raise funds for Holy Ghost, taught piano lessons, in her later years, established and directed a senior choral group, The Balladeers. The City of Houston acknowledged Margaret’s contribution to the elderly for all the work she did with the Balladeers with an award for her tireless effort.
In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to be made to St. Dominic Village where Margaret lived the last 12 years of her life. A Memorial mass will be held Saturday, May 21st at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of St. Dominic Village, 2409 Holcombe Blvd.
