From their happy union was born their son, Joseph Fred Guzzardo (1965) and daughter, Leah Ann Guzzardo-Faucett (1966). The family remained native Texans and lived in Houston, Corpus Christi, Driftwood near Austin, San Antonio and Bulverde where Mimi became widowed in 1987 after Benny’s early passing. In 1989, Mimi met James “Jim” White while cutting his hair at the salon she owned for more than a decade in the 1990’s. They made great conversation and ultimately spent many happy years together until she lost her second love just after his 90th birthday, in January 2020 in Houston.
