Kathleen "Katie" Talley Foster

Kathleen Adele Talley Foster, age 74, of Bellaire, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Born January 22, 1948 to Parker Alton Talley and Margaret Elise Talley, she was raised in West University among her 13 siblings and lived a life full of love and laughter. She was born number 11 out of 14 total children to Parker and Margaret.

Often called Katie by those that knew her well, she married Max Douglas Foster on March 18, 1978 and they had two daughters, Carrie Colleen Gorner (Foster) and Natalie Rose Foster. Max and Katie raised their family in Houston and eventually settled in Austin, Texas for 25 years. Katie worked as a Legal Assistant at a law firm in Austin for over 25 years before she retired to spend more time with her siblings in Houston.

Katie was an avid Texas Longhorn fan, enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and was admired and loved by all who knew her. Her family remembers her most as a shining light that brightened every conversation.

Katie is survived by her two Daughters, Carrie Gorner (Jay Gorner), Natalie Foster (Scott Van Verdeghem), her siblings Noel Holmberg, Barbara Pieri, Stella Talley, Jared Talley, Melvin Talley, Susan Pennington, Laurel (Honi) Freeman, many nieces and nephews, many grandnieces and grandnephews, her grandchildren Bailey Gorner and Barrett Gorner, and 5 granddogs. All were loved very much by Katie.
