Kaitlyn Anna Denson

Kaitlyn Anna Denson, 26 years old, tragically passed away in an apartment fire on July 15, 2019 in Austin, Texas. Kaitlyn grew up in Houston, TX and graduated from Bellaire High School. Kaitlyn never let the grass grow under her feet. Traveling was her passion and Kaitlyn’s adventures led her to Breckenridge, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, and Bali, as well as countless trips throughout the US. Kaitlyn never missed her chance to “Take the Trip!!!!”

Kaitlyn is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Mary Jane Denson (Houston). Kaitlyn is survived by her parents, Todd and Kim Denson and her brother Matthew (Houston). She also leaves behind her paternal grandparents, Ray & Mary Denson (Nashville), and maternal grandma, Ruth Gassew (Wilkes-Barre, PA); Aunt Robyn Gassew (Wilkes-Barre, PA), Uncle Dave & Aunt Robbye Jones (Houston), Aunt Logan and Uncle Danny Raines (Franklin, TN) and Aunt Morgan Denson (Nashville); and Cousins, Rachel Jones (Houston) & Luke, Lily, & Drew Raines (Franklin, TN). Aside from her immediate family, Kaitlyn also leaves behind her Mermaid Soul Sister, Lindsey Smith (Austin). The family would like to thank all of her friends and community for their outpouring of love during this difficult time. It has meant so much to know how much she was loved and what an impact she had on this world.

A celebration of Kaitlyn’s life will be held on July 27, 2019 at 2:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, TX, 77401. Relatives and friends are cordially invited. Please honor Kaitlyn’s commitment to being who you are and living life to the fullest by wearing floppy hats, sunglasses, and hippie chic attire!
