Mrs. Joy Thomas Clark

Mrs. Joy Thomas Clark, age 84, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023. Joy was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She grew up on St. Simon's Island, GA., and left home shortly after graduating high school. Joy was a stewardess for Delta Airlines and flew out of New Orleans, LA. She moved to Houston, TX., where she opened the first apartment locating business in town, The Key. She met her husband, Don Clark, shortly thereafter. Joy later started her own real estate company, Joy Clark & Associates and then worked as a real estate broker for several prominent real estate companies in Houston until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida Thomas and Walter Blanton, husband Don Clark, sister Joan Wallis and brother Rocky Williams.

She is survived by her children, Lani Clark and Troy Clark, her step-children, Cathy Clark and Debbie Dalton, her nieces, June Cook & Kimberly McLaney, nephew Steven Wallis, granddaughters Jenae Clark and Kiandria Posey, grandsons Michael Posey and Caleb Spears, great-grandson Aidan Osorio and great nephews Michael Shalev and Zachery McLaney.

A memorial service for Joy will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet Street, Bellaire, Texas.
