James Wright Meadows

He was born March 1, 1936 to James P. and Lucille Meadows in Marshall, Texas. Jim has been a member of the Willow Meadows family for over 50 years.

After graduating from Lamar University in Beaumont, he became a CPA. He had a long career in accounting, and he and his wife Kay, had an accounting practice for over 30 years.

After retiring, Jim volunteered at MD Anderson, visiting with people going through the worst times of their lives and offering comfort. He was also able to enjoy traveling the world, which was something he dearly loved.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Kay V. Meadows. He has 5 children, Jan Ellison, Jill Hodgkins, Clay Meadows, Forrest Meadows and Carl Meadows. He has 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Sara Fand and Loyce Johnson, and was blessed with a wonderful family.

The family will have a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas. The memorial service will be at Willow Meadows Church, 4300 W. Bellfort in Houston on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Willow Meadows Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
