Guy T. Mazzola, Jr.

Guy T. Mazzola, Jr., died on February 17, 2014. He is survived by his daughter Cecile Mazzola Deutschen, her husband Christopher and his beloved granddaughter Sophia Cecile. He is also survived by Cecile’s mother, Cecilia Sacco Mazzola, who became Guy’s continuous support during his illness. Mr. Mazzola was predeceased by his parents Guy and Elizabeth Alexander Mazzola, his aunt Josephine Alexander, and uncle, Lee V. Alexander. Mr. Mazzola was a member of the State Bar of Texas and used his legal education in his professional employment. He joined the Houston Independent School District in 1994 and cherished the number of professional friends he made during his employment with the District. Guy was a member of the Congregation of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament - Houston. He was received as an associate in the community on May 5, 1992, and served in various positions including as a Board member for Incarnate Word Academy.

The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with A Rosary recited at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Thursday, February 20, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway. Following the Mass a celebration of life will be held in the Msgr. Jamail Family Center. The Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Mr. Mazzola requested donations be made to Incarnate Word Academy, Attn: Sister Mary Brendan, CVl, 609 Crawford Street, Houston, Texas 77002.
