What a wonderful, fun neighbor.  Gloria.was loved by many in Anacortes. Those were fun days boating , having garage sales, playing pinochle, and so much more. Extending condolences to her family.  Joanna Olmstead.

Tom and I were saddened when we learned of Gloria's passing.  We had spoken a few weeks before and told me of her "situation " as she called it.  
Juniper Ridge is where we met Art and her when we rented the RV lot across the street from their park model. We became part of a group of six or eight who went out for fish dinners on Friday nights.  These were fun evenings.  One night six of us never forgot.  We had a Honda Odyssey van and if there were only six we went together.  Coming home from Show Low in the dark, we were having fun laughing and talking.  After some time, Gloria (third row) said to Tom, "I think you missed our road.  Then the men in the front agreed and we drove to Shumway before we could turn around.  She always brought that up laughing that she thought the women should do the driving.  We will remember Art and her every time we reach our White Mountain Lake Rd. turnoff.  We are sure Art  was right there to welcome her to heaven.

Dear ones of Gloria’s family….what wonderful memories I have of this lady, first having met her at church coffee hour, an exchange of concern after their car accident.  We then connected on other things, and I admired her spunk and spirit.  A goof, a big heart, a wide ranging sense of self and abounding energy~~~what had she missed doing or seeing, at the end of the day!?  I was devastated by the loss of Art, and surrounding events, but  Gloria did her best to do what had to be done:  I have some of her little mementos from her garage sales.  She separated from memories of the things, and stuff, to be realistic in the moving, ain’t easy!  We kept up by forwarding news and silliness to each other and once in a while phone calls, but she always had something else going on.  I was thrilled that she finally had plans to go into a larger condo lifestyle and couldn’t wait to hear the stories.  I will always treasure the jokes and transparency we shared.  She wasn’t afraid to fall apart and trust me as a friend.

Always enjoyed visits with Gloria before weekly worship services in Gilbert, AZ. She has been missed!!!

I didn’t know Gloria for long .. in the few times we met, it seemed like we’d known each other for years.
She left an impression in my heart.

I wish to send my sincere condolences to the Nelson family. Gloria and her husband Art were members of the Gilbert Presbyterian Church in Gilbert, Arizona. It was there I first met them.  We became friends and shared emails for many years. Gloria was a unique person and I enjoyed her sense of humor. I will miss her like her many friends at the Gilbert Presbyterian Church. Her duties here on earth  are finished. Gloria is now at peace and resides with our Lord.

The email of Gloria's passing came as a complete shock to me.  Gloria had called us at Gilbert Presbyterian Church in AZ to tell us that she had fallen and was in the hospital.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I will miss her too, in fact, I will miss all the many interesting and funny email forwards she sent.  God has blessed her with relief from pain, and now God Bless you, her family, in your grief.  You all are on our church prayer chain as well.  Blessings, Arlyn Hearn.

My heart goes out to all family and friends. She was a bright light in my life and I was so glad we kept in touch after her departure from Boeing many years ago. Will always remember her as Honey Bear...!
Such sweet memories of laughs, smiles and fun. Know she's tap dancing and spreading enjoyment to all in heaven.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Gloria, she called me last week and I have been waiting to hear back from her,  she was such a fighter.
Art and Gloria were dear friends of ours thru the years here in Anacortes and in Arizona.  Our mutual love for Schnauzers gave us a common bond.   She loved getting pictures of my new puppy . 
Gloria and Art will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Nelson family, I met your mother in the 5th grade and she has been my good friend all these years even though we have lived far apart.She taught me to drive in her Nash Metropoliton convertible when we were in high school  and survived! I will truly miss her,with my sincere condolences and love to you all,Susan

Your mother was a special person.  She and I were both OCD about many, many things, and we both agreed 100% that she had a wonderful family, a charming husband, beautiful children and lots of friends who enjoyed her company.  Over the past 35 years, in her retirement and in mine, I recall lots of giggles and fun times remembering mutual experiences at The Boeing Company.  Gloria's garage sales were also a special time where I got to observe her attention to details.  Borrowing my tables so she could have more room to display her goodies!!  You were blessed, as was I,  to have her in our lives and I know she will be watching over all of us.

My condolences to your family on the passing of Gloria. It is never easy to lose your mother. I pray for your peace and comfort.

I met Gloria in the fall of 1977, my first day at Boeing. Gloria was alway the 'light' of the workgroup. We remained casual work friends and I met Art a few years later. I enjoyed Gloria's email humor throughout the years. She will be missed.

So sorry to learn my longtime friend has gone to be with her Art.  I know she missed him terribly but like the stoic woman she was, managed to carry on for the past few years with the help of her wonderful children.

Rest in peace my dear friend.  I will miss you and all your stories and the daily emails which make me laugh.  I am comforted knowing that the two of you are flying around the world having lots of laughs.
