Gerry was a dear friend, having met him over 40 years ago. His extraordinary, optimistic, personality, a smile always on his face, and his bombastic voice were hallmarks of his persona. Everyone that came in contact with Gerry, Couldn’t help by being affected by his intoxicating personality. He was truly one of a kind. We are so sorry to hear of Gerald’s passing. The entire Sacks family is very dear to us. Gerald lived life big and loved so well. He was an incredible friend to our family and especially my dad for 42 years. So many memories in the Hannington Lane cul-de-sac when we were growing up. Big hugs and prayers.

I was shocked and sad to hear of Gerry's death. We talked about six months ago and I had no idea of any serious health issues. I always admired his South African accent and his ability to present complex insurance issues in a very simple presentation.  His command of language was beautiful.
Gerry was a wonderful friend to both Larry and me and we will both miss him.

Jerry was to me a friend and mentor. One who always had time to help and share. A titan in the life insurance industry and a leader among his peers. His attitude was never negative and never a doubt.
Positive attitude was his watch word.  My luck was to have met him at the Forum many years ago and he inspired me to seek new heights. For that I am so ever grateful. Jerry made a difference in many lives and I for one will miss him dearly. Jerry would not tolerate my current sadness, he'd say that dwelling on the negative was of no value and focus on the positive. I am sure the Angels that surround him are all getting that spirit now. The world will be a lesser place without him.  He was a great man and good friend. It's hard to believe.  I just had dinner with him about a year ago.

Dave and I will miss Gerald so very much . 
We shared hours of laughter, a few tears and remarkable conversation.  He was an incredible contributor to our small group -world religion studies. He was a brilliant theologian and gracious teacher .

I am sorry to hear about Gerry's passing.  Gerry was helpful to me and my team years ago when I was in Houston.  His passion, energy, and dedication to helping others was incredible.  I'll never forget his vociferous South African accent, and the way he would enunciate technical words for emphasis.  My condolences to Lauren and Family.

Gerald was an incredible force of positivity and every type of generosity. I am so sad to not have said to him over and over, ‘Gerald, I’ve been so lucky to have you as my uncle, and to know you and be in your circle’. A truly unique and wonderful man who will be very much missed.
