A sincere note of appreciation is due to her closest, dearest and most trusted friend, Karen, who was with her to the end. Electa and Karen were as close as any two friends could be for the past 15 years. Karen was the most involved person in Electa's life throughout her continuous struggle to live. She was the friendly face that Electa always looked for on a daily basis whether she was in the hospital or nursing home or somewhere in between. Karen handled Electa's personal affairs and was available at a moments notice for her best friend. She was always there for Electa.
For Karen and all who loved Electa, we have been truly blessed. There will be an emptiness where there was once Electa's beaming heartfelt smile, contagious laugh and fun-loving sense that lit up any room that she came into. You can rest assured that she is in a better place -- still smiling down on us -- and we will be reunited one day in our father's home in heaven.
