CJ Scott

C.J. Scott was born in Cedarville, AR on January 20, 1932, to Bessie Mae King and Clifford Carl Scott. He passed away on November 23, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Joan Mason Scott; son, Clyde Mason Scott and wife Marilyn; daughter, Pamela King Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sam King and Clyde King; and sisters, Thelma Pedersen and Florene Collier.

C.J. was a graduate of University of Oklahoma with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed in the oil and gas industry until his retirement. He enjoyed music, especially fiddle playing, and gardening where he excelled at growing fine tomato crops each year.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Earthman's Bellaire Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service 11:00AM on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to M. D. Anderson Hospital and will be greatly appreciated. The family is also grateful to the fine doctors and nurses who cared for C.J. during the past few years.
