Carl Victor Arnold 90, of Houston, Texas passed away December 12, 2016. Born in Chicago, Illinois on August 26, 1926. He attended Tilden Tech High School, joined the Navy at age 17 as a Flight Crewman on PBM Coastal Aircraft. Moved to Houston in 1948 with Walgreen Drug Company and attended the University of Houston.
He worked for Home Life Insurance of New York where he was a past president of the Life Insurance Men of Houston in 1973. He was also a member of Texas Leader Round Table and the Million Dollar Table. Additionally, served N.A.S.A./J.S.C. for 41 years where he received the N.A.S.A. Public Service Medal in 2003. Former member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, and member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Sandra Arnold, and by his two children from a former marriage, Jacqueline Ann Kintner and Carol Arnold Siemsen, preceded in death by his son David A. Arnold; four grandchildren Alisha Coneley, Eric Arnold, Stephanie Kintner and Brian Fellers. A stepson, Mitchell L. Lunsford, Jr. of Boston and many other family members and friends.
Funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church followed by inurnment with honors at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
