Alton Ray Moses

Alton Ray Moses was born in Odessa, Texas on April 13, 1957 and died November 6, 2022. He graduated from Orange Grove High School and soon after, found his way to Bellaire Texas where he joined the fire department in 1980 as a Firefighter. Over his 42-year career, he worked his way up to Assistant Chief / Fire Marshall.

Alton is preceded in death by his Mother: Elizabeth Cawyer, Father; Fred W. Cawyer, Son; Zackurie Moses, Sister; Jeannette George, Stepsister; Betty Devers, Stepbrother; Weldon Cawyer.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marcia Morgan of Bellaire; his brother Tommy Moses and sister in-law Marilyn of Orange Grove, Texas; his brother Fred N. Cawyer of Orange Grove, Texas; grandson Brandon Moses of Langley, British Colombia; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

His family will receive friends Saturday, November 12 from 2 to 5 p.m., at Earthman-Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet Street. Funeral service will be Monday, November 14th, 2022, in the Chapel of Earthman-Bellaire, Chief Deacon Tittle, Bellaire Fire Department will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the Earthman-Bellaire Reception Room.
