Alan Lyons Levi, age 77, died of chronic heart disease on March 19, 2020, in Houston, Texas. Al is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Judy and Donald Steine; his son Ian Levi; his daughter Janna Levi; his daughter Elissa Levi Unger, son-in-law Michael Unger and grandchildren Blake and Lila Unger; and his partner Lisa Balick. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred Lyons Levi and Mildred Harris Levi.
Al was born in New York, NY and spent his youth in Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated from Needham Braughton High School and North Carolina State University with a degree in Marketing. In 1968 he moved to Houston, where he eventually founded the executive search firm, Unlimited Sources Inc (USI) and where he worked for almost 30 years. He was also a passionate founder & member of the Houston New Warrior Chapter, which has benefited thousands of Houston men & families.
Al was a social, active man, who loved to travel the world, spend time with loved ones, participate in fitness regimens and immerse himself in spiritual endeavors. He cherished being a father and a grandfather.
Due to the health environment, A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. Donations can be sent in Al’s honor to the American Heart Association or Autism Speaks.
We will forever carry the dear man with the big heart in our hearts.
