An amazing uncle, tough, funny and honest. He had so much love for everyone and spoke his mind. My best memories of him are during the holidays and backyard barbecues, all of the cats he and aunt Jackie had and cared so deeply for, how loving and open he was. I'll miss and remember him the same as I miss my uncle John and my mother(his older sister). I always loved hearing stories from my mom about Bill and John as kids at mom-mom and pop-pops, hearing my mother's memories she had of her brothers in the different rooms of that house and seeing her laugh as she reminisced of her brother's lives as children, how they grew up to take over pop-pop's business. When I was young, I could only tell him apart from John because of his amazing mustache. That mustache wasn't half as amazing as he was as a person. He and my aunt Jackie always welcomed me into their home every chance they had, every party, every holiday, Uncle Bill always made time to talk to me and check in and catch up. I hadn't seen him in many years, but he always cared, as do I, if there's anything beyond this life, I hope he, my other uncle and mother are all together and we get to see each other again. I'll never forget him, he was one of two uncles I had and he was an incredible man.

Hi jackie and family, although we did not meet til recently,  my heart goes out to you all. I appreciate the  conversations we had and I truly appreciate the support you have shown me and my family.  This is a very difficult time now and my prayers are with you during this journey.  May God bless you and your family now and I will be thinking of you and your family during this time.

Jackie, my heart aches for you and your family.  I met Bill (and John) in June 1956 when my parents moved to Waldor Drive.  Bill was a bit more subdued than John but not by much. When the boys in the neighborhood gathered to play baseball or football in our back yard, the key was to keep the brothers on separate teams. In part because they were equally talented but moreover, because it kept them apart from fighting. Ahh yes,  they argued every call, every game. But they also had a love for each other. They defended each other from outside criticism. Most games ended with the Anderson brothers fighting.

Bill seemed more academic ... he would try to explain things to me that were above my comprehension.  Bill and I had many conversations on my parents breezeway.  Carol often had to physically walk up to our house to drag him home for supper! 

Bill also liked to play cards along with Dave Ward (RIP) in our dining room until long after dark.  Bill was kind hearted too. He would often take time to help my mother when he saw her carrying something heavy. Mom couldn't tell the boys apart. She would always ask me after Bill left out house, "Which one was he??

Let's not forget that Bill and John were the first two in the Pine Ridge Swimming Club pool the day after it was filled for the first time. Must admit, I can't remember if Bill pushed John or vice versa. But they were the first two in the water!!

One of my favorite recollections was reading how you and Bill located your daughter. I've cried more than a few tears reflecting on your strength and courage for writing that story. 

I will always remember my last conversation with Bill ... at the Jimmy Simms memorial. We probably talked a half hour embellishing stories from long ago.  Essentially, remembering them the same way.

I grew up just around the corner from Bill and John. They would be at our house often. The hung out with my brother Dave. At first I had a hard time telling them apart, especially when they were not together.  My Dad always called them "the Anderson boys".
Years later, when Dad was building my house he called " the Anderson boys" to do the electrical work.   Having them work on my house has always been a special memory for me. That was 43 years ago.
           I last saw Bill at a reunion a few years back. We sat at the bar and had a long chat. I kept tabs on Bill over the years through Wes and Lori Wolinski.
I was so saddened to hear of Bill's passing. My sincere condolences to Jackie and the family

To Jackie, Juli and Laura we send our heartfelt condolences on Bill’s passing. We are so happy that we got to know Bill even better during the past few years. He was there when Gramarge passed away, quietly offering his support. And of course he was there for all of the happy occasions - Juli and Brett’s wedding and all of the holidays, birthdays and graduations. Through it all, one thing was clear, and that was how much he loved his family. Bill will never be forgotten and you will all be in our thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace. The last time I saw Bill and Jackie was in their home after a Perry Hall High School Reunion.  I'm sure they will be together in heaven one day.
