Thomas “Tommy” Glen Hokuf, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 76. Tommy was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Naomi Alexander and Frank Hokuf. He graduated from Kenwood High School in 1965 before attending Essex Community College (class of 1972). At the age of 19, he joined the United States Air Force as a crew chief, working on C-130 aircrafts. We honor and commemorate Tommy’s four years of service with the United States Air Force.
After serving in the Air Force, Tommy was employed by Automatic Data Processing (ADP) for 35 years. He would travel all around the United States for his job, and often shared stories with a smile on his face. Tommy was proud of the work that he accomplished at ADP and the people that he met along the way. In 2013, Tommy retired from the company as a Senior Accounts Executive.
Along with his love for traveling, Tommy had a passion for cars, especially his Corvettes. He spent many years enjoying car shows, and was a member of a car club. He was quick to share car stories with those around him. In addition to cars, he loved boating and being on the water. He owned a boat several years ago that brought him a lot of joy. Tommy’s interests also included golfing and watching football, especially the Ravens, with his brother and friends.
Tommy is survived by his twin brother, Daniel Hokuf, his wife, Sharon; his niece Amy (Brandon) Klusak and their children Parker, Camden, and Weston; nephew Steven (Brittany) Hokuf and their son, Jonas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Naomi Alexander and Frank Hokuf and his older brother, Frank Hokuf.
Tommy was a dedicated brother and adoring uncle. He cared deeply for his family and loved them immensely. Everyone knew of him as such a fun guy. Please join us in celebrating his beautiful life.
