Theodore Anthony Schab passed away on May 29 at his home in Havre de Grace, Maryland surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old. He was the son of the late John A. and Marie (Wawrzyniak) Schab.
He graduated from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1963. Ted served in the Marine Corp Reserve for four years and loved telling tales of his time at the boot camp on Parris Island, SC. He retired from Verizon after 35 years and then 10 years later from Lucent Technologies. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement and the freedom it gave him to visit his grandchildren, the loves of his life. A perfect day for him was having family over for steamed crabs his favorite food. He was a longtime member of St. Margaret’s Church Bel Air, Maryland.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Victoria (Schap) Schab; daughter Hope Haslbeck (Jason) of Lincoln University , Pennsylvania. Daughter Nicole Stall (Al) of New Orleans, Louisiana. Brothers John Schab (Lorraine) of Bel Air, Maryland. Michael Schab (Eileen) of Lebanon, Ohio. Sister Marcella Szyjka (Anthony) of Baltimore, Maryland and grandchildren Albert Stall, Greta Stall and Hugh Haslbeck in addition to numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4 from 4 PM-8 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home in Bel Air. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Saturday June 5 at St. Margaret’s Church Bel Air, Maryland. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or any children’s charity.
