Susanne "Sue" Downham Boyle

Susanne Downham Boyle, age 64, of Colora, Maryland passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Boyle; devoted mother of Colleen Gaughran and her husband Jimmy, Bridget Boyle, Patrick Boyle; dear daughter of Dick Spinner; cherished sister of Chris Spinner and his wife Lynn, Kathy Shindledecker and her husband Scott, Pat Spinner and his wife Stacey; loving grandmother of Emmett & Eileen Gaughran; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sue (Susie, Mom, Aunt Flash, Gma) earned her Bachelors Degree in 1984 from Towson University, and worked for multiple companies before opening her own shipping and business services company in Bel Air, Maryland. Later, Sue devoted herself to caring for her children, volunteering and working at their schools and local parishes, and finally working as a business administrator for a local landscaping company. Sue valued her family above all else, but her pets, quilting, crocheting, photography and crafting came close. Her family will always remember her gentle, encouraging, and patient support as well as her dry sense of humor.

A visitation for Susanne will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM, 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. The committal will be at 12:30 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery, 13305 Long Green Pike, Hydes, MD 21082.
