Shirley Sandra Schwartz

Shirley Sandra Schwartz passed away on October 13, 2019 after a long beautiful life. Shirl was an avid lover of life and all it's magnificent color and light. She was known for her classic beauty and her impeccable style but it was her witty humor and comedic timing which made her much beloved by family and friends. She was a talented photographer and had an unwavering quest for things to be just right. She had a fondness for classic movies and a good television sitcom. She adored animals, especially her beloved dogs. Shirl was a loyal, compassionate, bright light of a human being and the world is truly better to have known her spectacular spirit. She was born January 13, 1935 in Baltimore to Anthony Frank Gatta, Jr and JoAnn Theresa (Minacapelli) Gatta. She was the beloved daughter of the late JoAnn Theresa (Minacapelli) Schwartz and the beloved stepdaughter of the late Edwin Charles Schwartz; loving sister of Edwin C. Schwartz and his wife Carolyn; dear aunt of Anthony Schwartz and his wife Donna, Kelly Schwartz-Keville, and Jennifer Schwartz-Mitchell and her husband Chad. Shirley is also survived by 11 great nieces and nephews, as well as 9 great-great nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be private.
