Rosalie Theresa Dietz (Rybczynski) of Bel Air, MD passed away of natural causes on October 10, 2022 at the age of 83. She was the wife of Donald J. Dietz (she was the love of his life and had been married for 61 years). She was born on November 29, 1938 to the late Florian Rybczynski of Bella Ruse and Bertha Alexanderwicz Rybczynski. She was one of 9 children and grew up in East Baltimore. The couple had a grocery store on Foster Avenue. Florian died in 1939 when Rosalie was one, leaving Bertha a widow. Rosalie was the youngest of 9 children, the last living sibling. They were Adam Rybczynski, Melvin Rybczynski, Helen Rybczynski (Mitchell), Anna Rybczynski (Ryzauskas), John Rybczynski, Edward Rybczynski, Dr. Edmond Rybczynski and Victoria Rybczynski (Poremski).
Rosalie graduated from the Catholic High School and then went to work for the Social Security Administration. Rosalie and Donald were married in 1961 after Don graduated from the Johns Hopkins University, they then moved to Virginia. They were blessed with three sons Donald, Jr., Jeff and Scott Dietz, then three grandchildren and one great grandchild. In 1969 they moved back to the Baltimore area into Bel Air. They belonged to the Maryland Golf and Country Club, where they enjoyed golf, tennis and swimming for over 50 years. Rosalie sold Real Estate, and had a number of Million+ dollar sales years (when a million dollars was a lot of money!)
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air on Monday October 24th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25th at 11 am at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Internment to follow at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery. Rosalie loved flowers, please feel free to fill her Monday 24th celebration with them! In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins Myasthenia Gravis Research Center, Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine
