On Tuesday June 26, 2018, Robert Hartman Elliott Sr (Bob) of Fallston, MD , beloved husband of 62 years to his wife Mary Jane (nee Traylor) Elliott passed away quietly at home with his family by his side. Bob was born in Baltimore, the son of the late Charles Milton Elliott, Sr and Mildred (nee Bell) Elliott. He was a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. Bob was a proud Navy Veteran, having served aboard the USS Quincy, CA 71 during the Korean War. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he went to work for what was then known as C&P Telephone Company in Easton, Md. After 38 years, he retired from Verizon in 1994. Upon his retirement, Bob & his wife enjoyed traveling with their close friends until his health started to decline.
Bob was charter President and a lifetime member of the Fallston Lions Club. He also served on the board of directors of American Legion Post 39. He was active in organizing yearly reunions of his USS Quincy Mates as well. Additionally, he was an avid coin and stamp collector.
He is survived by his daughter Rhonda (nee Elliott) Reddy and her husband John, daughter Victoria (nee Elliott) Sessa and her husband John, Daughter in law Jean Elliott, grandchildren Jonathan Robert Reddy and his wife Erin, Jourdan Reddy and fiance Raymond Crandall, Vincent Elliott Sessa and his wife Kristen, Robert Elliott, Kathleen Elliott, Rebecca Elliott, great grand children Bentley and Oakley Sessa, and sister-in-law Patricia Traylor. He was predeceased in death by his brother Charles Milton Elliott Sr., who was killed during the Korean War, and his beloved son Robert (Bobby) Hartman Elliott, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air, on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm -9:00 pm, where a celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment private. Donations may be made in Bob's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road D, Timonium, MD 21093.
