On February 22, 2022 Peter Allera passed away. He was the beloved husband of June Allera; devoted father of Michael Allera, and Barbara Allera-Bohlen and her husband William Bohlen, Sr.; loving grandfather of J.P. Allera, Nick Allera, Maria Allera, William Bohlen, Jr., and Charles Bohlen and their families; cherished uncle of Lorri Greb, and her sons Mike and Erik and great nephew Christian McCormick. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lea Scaglione and his niece, Jean McCormick.
Peter served in the US Army and retired from his career with the Army National Guard and the Department of Defense as a Scientific and Technological Photographer at Edgewood Arsenal . After retiring from the government and the National Guard, Peter was a consultant for Armco Steel for 18 months. Later, Pete joined the team at the Bel Air Auto Auction and worked for 18 years. He enjoyed life and loved his family. He was married to his wife, June for 67 years and was a great father to his children. He traveled all over the world for his work and for pleasure. He loved to cook, fish, go flea marketing, playing golf, and playing poker with his poker buddies. Pete was an avid Baltimore Oriole's fan and passed the love of the O's to his children. He was a very social person and a loving family member and friend to many. Pete would lend an ear or a hand to anyone and was beloved by all.
