Paul Edison Geiger, Jr., went to heaven on April 21, 2018 in Abingdon, Maryland at age 85. Paul was born on June 30, 1932 in Meyersdale, PA to Lucy (Murray) and Paul Geiger, the oldest of seven children. He left his homestead to serve in the Air Force in 1953, and spent time as an Airman 1st Class in Alaska, California, Wyoming and Japan until discharge in October 1956. Paul then moved to Baltimore, and was employed by Martin Marietta and then Bethlehem Steel Corp., where he spent 35-years as a shipyard welder. Paul is survived by his bride of 59-years, Patricia Ann (Siegfarth) and their three children, Nicholas John Geiger of Abingdon, MD, Paul Edison Geiger, Jr. II of Baltimore, MD and Victoria Lynne Gates (husband David) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; two granddaughters, Trisha Anne Geiger and Cheyanne Nicole Geiger, both of Abingdon, MD, a great-granddaughter Isabella Arianna Godwin and his rescue puppies Sweetie and Leah. Interment is 1pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Parkwood Cemetery in Parkville, MD. Paul was an avid boater, fisherman, car enthusiast, historian and animal lover. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Humane Society or animal rescue group.
