After a long battle, Mya Thandar Aung, age 52, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022; beloved wife of Thuya Aung; devoted mother of Maythee-Jane Aung and Kaycee Aung; cherished daughter of Khin Nyein and the late Khin Maung; dear sister of Mya Seinn; loving aunt of Lin Aung, Myat Thu and Seinn Phu; and daughter-in-law of Maung Htay and Khin Thit. Mya loved the military life, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
A visitation for Mya will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014.
Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a future date.
