Mary Margaret Vananzo (nee Auld), age 93, of Bel Air, MD passed away on September 1, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Michael Vananzo; cherished daughter of the late Walter Lester Auld and the late Mary Mildred Auld (nee Roche); devoted mother of Nicholas Lester Vananzo, Kathy Vananzo, John Michael Vananzo and his wife Elly Ripken, and Mark Stephen Vananzo and his wife Dawn; loving grandmother of Christopher, Nicole, Maura, and Steven; cherished great-grandmother of Madison, Sophia, Caddy, and Robert; dear sister of the late Larry Auld.
Mary loved playing cards, bingo, bowling on the Nintendo Wii, traveling, going on cruises, shopping on QVC, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, 610 W. MacPhail RD, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 3-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bel Air Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, or the ALS Association at www.als.org.
