Cathy was a great friend, and I was able to tell her as well as Jerry, Lauren and Dave that she (Cathy) was the nicest, sweetest person that I have ever met in my life. No exaggeration.  She will be missed greatly ....

I never met a sweeter, kinder person ever.  We will miss Cathy.

Cathy you will be so missed. We shared so many good times (and bad times, too). Jack has been remembering all the family times when you both were young.  He's going to miss his little sister.  
It was so nice to have you for a "sister". I'll miss our telephone talks. 
You fought so hard and never really complained. You were determined to make the best of things.
I'm sure when you got to heaven Mom and Dad were waiting for you with open arms.

My heart is broken. I miss you so much. I don’t know how to be me without you. You’ve taught me everything I needed to know about being a mom. The kids loved you so much. Our trip to see the Rockettes  in December was a little rough for you but you refused to let your illness hold you back from doing things.    I am so glad we had this day.   I'll always treasure it.

   We never saw Cathy  get mad, ever yell, or ever besmirch anyone- in the last 50 years! We never saw her complain either, even these past four years, when she had every right to. 
   The Komenda family was so proud to have her, her excellent character and we all loved her very much. 
   Jerry, Dave and Lauren- We are so sorry for your loss and Cathy will never be forgotten. And to Cathy-May  God bless your spirit forever.


My dear Aunt Cathy is an extra special person. She was simultaneously 
as sweet, docile, and kind as anyone who’s walked the Earth as well as the toughest. When I heard the news of her passing, I couldn’t stop crying. And I’m sure that’s the same reaction that all of us who knew her had. 

Every memory I have of her
is one of an extra kind, authentically loving, great human being. Although it was very difficult to see her suffer Stage 4 cancer, her mindset, her fight, her spirit in the face of it all was truly remarkable. My heart, prayers, and condolences go out especially to my Uncle Jerry, Cousins Dave & Lauren, their spouses and children & the rest of the many people who loved her.

I don’t know what happens after we die, but I do know that my Aunt Cathy lived a life on Earth that walked daily in the light of God—-full of kind deeds, rooted in boundless love. And although cancer claimed her body, it did not change her heart nor can it take her soul. She will be dearly missed.

Kathy I can’t put into words how much you will be missed. You have touched my heart in so many ways. You are one of the good ones, so sweet and kind. You have always looked like an Angel to me. All your pain is gone now and you will be at peace in heaven . I know you will be looking down at your loved ones and try to help them heal. To my loving wife who I miss so much already and its only been a couple days. This will be the hardest thing in my life that I've ever had to do - go on without you. You were my best friend. Someone I always looked forward to seeing in the morning and last thing before going to sleep at night. You were the toughest and most courageous person I know. You fought a long hard battle especially the last 6 months but you didn't complain and you didn't give up. You held out until there was nothing left to give.  I was so lucky to have known you for 50+ years. I just wish I had 25 more. I'm going to miss everything about you. You said that you just wanted to be around and now I will have you around for the rest of my days. I love you so much.
