I can't believe your are gone. I had some great times when we hung out. I was laughing about the time when we were playing on that tournament team and we went to get under armour shirts and I told ya to get the cold gear shirt cause it won't be that bad.  It end up being hot that day we played. You were sweating and providing some colorful words while laughing the entire time.  RIP Sauce.

PJ thank you. Thank you for loving Rachel and giving us Nolan. Thank you for being the hero you are. You went to work everyday risking your life to protect others. PJ to say we will miss you is an understatement. You made such a huge impact on our family from the very minute you and Rachel started dating, always there for any of us. You and Rachel were perfect for each other, enjoying the same things in your lives together, especially your passion for camping. I don’t think we could have picked a more perfect man for our daughter. In our hearts you were always a hero, and now the world knows it too! We know you are with Nolan now which gives us just a little comfort knowing he has his daddy, though we would much rather have you both here with us living a happy life. I will miss our phone calls and texts about whatever was going on.  I know you and Nolan will watch over Rachel from above, we will take care of her down here. We love you both so much, and will miss you forever ❤️❤️

Paul (PJ)- you were one of the first friends I made in Edgewood when I started there in 5th grade. We had some good times throughout the years, all the way through senior year and I will cherish all the memories and laughs. You’ll be missed by many. My thoughts are with your wife and family. Death is never easy and it’s harder when it’s someone you’ve known for a long time and grew up with, but it brings me some peace knowing you are with your son now. RIP hero.

The news of your loss has traveled far and wide to reach the West Coast which is only a small indicator of how much impact you had on people’s lives. It has been more than 15 years since our time in high school and I only learned of your success and dedication to public service when I had learned of your passing. I am not surprised one bit that you ended up a Lieutenant! I am so saddened to hear of your passing. I am sorry that those who are closest to you are hurting. I will always remember the joy and laughter you brought others, your love for baseball, how much fun you made the EHS baseball team, humpshybanana ! I wish I could be there for your services this week as just one of the many, many faces in the crowd to honor your life. 

To PJ’s parents - your son was so funny and fun to be around ! He had a righteous indignation about his spirit that won’t be forgotten. I am sorry for the pain yesterday, today, and tomorrow that this has brought to your lives.

PJ  We will always remember the great memories of you and (as Keith Michael put it) all the Edgewood boys as you grew up together.  Looking through our photo albums, we found pictures of the time you went with us to Wildwood on vacation and also the time you went to Yankee Stadium with our family.  One thing I will never forget is the time you came over and told me you had to call your mom and tell her where you were.  After picking up the receiver of our "rotary phone" you looked at me and said, "How do you use this?"  LOL.  PJ, your memory will live forever in our hearts! Hey buddy, while you’ll always be remembered as “Paul” to the city and some coworkers…you’ll always be PJ and Party Boy to me and all of us Edgewood guys.  I’ll never forget all the ball games, summer vacations, Super Bowl parties, fishing, crabbing, and watching The Rock over and over.  I still laugh at that Susky Braves game when you broke 3 bats (that weren’t yours haha).  And that EHS practice we all got yelled at, “No more Humpsya Banana and your childish games!”  I’ll never forget seeing you on the street when we both worked in the Eastern District, me on Edison Hwy and you on Montford.  You will be sorely missed by us all, but never forgotten.  My prayers go out to your family, who was a second family to me.

I guess this also wouldn’t be complete without me mentioning your shrine to Brady Anderson!!  Love you Party Boy 

As his Brothers it always very hard to hear about the lost, of one of our Brothers or sisters. We find some comfort in knowing he passed in a Job he loved. But that still falls to help us understand why he had to pass so young, & leave behind his loving family that our in much pain today and in the mo to come. All we can say is that our GOD is in control of our lives, and why is our Lord calling him home it’s the unknown mystery of our lives. To the family at this most horrific and unbelievable time,When you look up and the wind is blowing it’s his way of telling you that he’s OK, and will always miss everyone and with his protecting hand guide you two piece. He’s resting now with all of our fallen brothers that are always looking over our shouldersWith their blessed hands to keep us safe.
