Logan Anthony Swenson passed peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on May 1, 2023. Logan was born at 26 weeks on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 8:23 a.m. to parents Zachary and Danielle Swenson. He weighed 1 pound, 11 ounces and was 11-3/4 inches long. Cherished son, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, and cousin. Logan Anthony is survived by his parents, paternal grandparents, Bud and Mary Jane Swenson and maternal grandparents Tony and Erin Birdsong; maternal great-grandmother Ellen Pease, his aunt Courtney (Kyle) Rehder, uncle Matthew (Hannah), uncle Travis Birdsong, aunt Josie Birdsong, uncle Cole Birdsong, cousin Willow Swenson, and many extended family members. The family would like to thank the staff at Christiana Care Hospital NICU, with a special thank you to Dr. Wendy Sturtz, and the entire Blue Team of doctors and caring nurses, for enriching the family’s precious time with Logan.
Logan was a feisty little man, constantly kicking out his legs and swinging his arms. He loved squeezing his mommy's and daddy’s finger when they held his hand. The nurses and doctors loved Logan too, even when he would try to pull on his monitors and wiggle around wreaking havoc. While he may not have had much time with us, he made every second memorable. His happiest moments were hearing the sound of his parents' voices and the time he spent in their arms. Logan knew nothing but love, which is truly a blessing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help offset medical expenses.
