Julie...such a dear friend...I miss her everyday!

You come to my mind often...in my heart always. So many memories...some quite difficult, of concern and sadness, but more were of encouragement and happiness. Remembering the support+bonding, connection made from long talks...get-togethers thru mtgs+events, texts, phn calls, brunches, nites'out, trips...sometimes tears, mostly laughter and silliness too...nearly always lots of hot 🍵 tea w/the lil packets! A friendship enjoyed, respected, cherished/loved...now missed, remembered+always w/me. 

I just learned of the news of Julie's passing. I knew Julie (and Will) in college.  She was a real nice person, very pleasant, and always had something nice to say.  I will miss her.  My deepest condolenses to the Wilcox family.  We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.

I just found out today, Julie. Ive thought about you so often these past 3 years and was always hoping you were doing well and I can see that you were, You were always smiling, positive and strong. Such an amazing example for breast cacer patients fighting for there lives, a true hero. I worked with you for only short time but, knew that you were such a loving special human being. I loved painting for you and knowing you. You made an impression on so many lives. I thought so much of you, I know your in a better place than all of us and you deserve it. I remember, while going through a hard time in college, Julie being the one who took notice, and then, took the time and initiative to talk and show me the light in the situation. I imagine she helped may others find their way through some rough spots. She was sensitive, intuitive, and filled with sincerity. Her smile and energy were infectious.  A beautiful beautiful person.

I think often of the times in the FHS health suite, Stephanie posted a picture to facebook a few weeks ago  of all the aides and you from 1985 and it made me smile. I remember how proud you were when you often spoke of Julie.  Our prayers are with you and know how many lives you touch and those that Julie touched and made better because.

We are somewhat comforted that every time we close our eyes and think of Julie, her beautiful, smiling face and infectious laugh fill our thoughts without fail.  As difficult as it is to lose her, she will never be forgotten and all of us who know her are better people for it who have witnessed the art of kindness, selflessness, joyfulness, perseverance, and purpose. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.  Thank you Julie for sharing so much of yourself and showing us how to live life to its fullest. Tears of sadness overwhelmed me this morning as I grieved the loss of Julie, a compassionate mother, a devoted wife, a best friend, an angel to everyone she met.   Julie was one of my closest friends since Fallston HS and the Wilcox family has always been a true blessing to me.  My friendship with Julie taught me how to smile, laugh and cherish every moment.  May our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ show his unfailing love and strength to you all. Know that Julie's wonderful spirit lives on through the love she show me and everyone else she knew.

I had the great privilege to speak with Julie on occasion.  She was so friendly, open and easy to talk to. I came away from those conversations feeling lifted and inspired. Julie was an all star in every role she was in--mother wife daughter and especially in the survivor role-- she handled this role that she never asked for with more grace than anyone I have ever seen. It is shocking to think of a world without Julie in it.  Somehow I just kept hoping that in the end she would make a recovery and go back to her old bubbly and smiley self.  I cannot think of the right words to accurately describe what a great friend Julie was.  When you were with her, she just made you feel a little bit happier.  She took care of everyone she met.  We will really miss her.

I have wonderful memories of my friendship with Julie at SMC on 3rd Right PG.  She was a kind, funny, vivacious girl.  I can still hear her endearing laugh.  I lift up her family in prayer.

I haven't seen Julie since college, but I've never forgotten how sweet she was or her ever-present smile. RIP Julie.

Julie was one of the first people to extend her hand in friendship to me when I came to this country from Africa. She was so sweet and loving, and I loved her dearly. Spending a full day with her last summer was one of the highlights of my year, and I will miss her more than words can say. My heart goes out to her family at this time.

I was sad to hear the passing of my friend this morning. She fought so hard and for so long. I was in awe of her dignity and grace and her tremendous strength ....she will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Julie was one of the first people to extend her hand in friendship to me when I came to this country from Africa, alone, uncertain, and terribly homesick. She was so sweet, and so loving, and I loved her dearly. My deepest condolences to her family, especially Will and the boys, and her mom.

I grew up down the street from Julie.  I will always remember playing kickball in the 'circle' (or whatever game we decided), going to the roller-rink, and eventually working together at the infamous Tollgate Junction.  My condolences go her family and to Ms. Rosa.  May God's peace be with you.

I remember Julie from my first Race for the Cure. I had just been diagnosed and I was still trying to recover from by bilateral mastectomy and had many complications from it, I was in a wheelchair . I was sitting in my wheelchair listening to her give her speech and remember saying she has Stage 4 breast cancer! She looked so wonderful,was so positive and soo strong. She really gave hope,courage and strength new meaning to me.  Then I joined a wonderful support BCAUSE. My very first meeting I seen that same strong wonderful person.  the face of hope I had seen at the Relay for Life.She was always so kind and was always their for others despite her own illness and struggles. Julie you are a true angel. I am sincere when I say this you were my strength, from the day I met you at the Race for the Cure. Lots of love to you.
