John Donald Sullivan Jr., age 79, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025.Beloved son of the late John Donald Sullivan and Margaret Louise Sullivan; loving brother of Michael Patrick Sullivan, Dr. Terence K. Sullivan, and Laurence K. Sullivan. Also survived by four nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate of Central High School, Philadelphia, PA; continuing his education with a B.S. at University of Florida, and his M.S. at Ohio State University. He had a long career as a civilian physicist at the U.S. Army with Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. John was an avid runner as a member of the Edgewood Running Club and a nine-time finisher in the Boston Marathon. Among other achievements, John was a holder/and co-holder of multiple scientific patents.
