Jean Hope Watson, 95, formerly of Bel Air, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Long View Health Care Center in Manchester. Jean was born in Cincinnati on August 3, 1922 to the late John and Lee Okum. She was the beloved wife of the late George Murray Watson Jr., her husband of 55 years. She was a graduate of Forest Park High School, class of 1940 and a veteran of the United States Navy, having proudly served as a WAVE during World War II. She was the devoted mother of Nancy Matthews and her husband Clay of Westminster, loving grandmother of James M. Matthews and wife Rebecca of Mint Hill N.C., and Jennifer E. Matthews, also of Westminster; and the cherished great-grandmother of Nicholas Matthews. Interment will be private with the Rev. Robert Clipp officiating.
