She joins her parents Francis and Constance Leary; brothers Lawrence, Michael, and Gregory Leary; and sister-in-law Glenda Leary.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she spent her early years in Pigtown and Morrell Park before settling down with her family in Bel Air, Maryland. She worked as an administrative assistant at the National Security Agency and a teacher’s aide at Hickory Elementary School. She truly established herself in real estate as both a realtor and settlement officer. While excelling in those roles, her true passion was spending time with her cherished family and friends. Her smile, big heart, mischievousness, and contagious energy made it easy for her to make and maintain longstanding relationships across all facets of her life. She cherished her Friday nights playing tennis at Rock Spring Swim Club, crab feasts and bull roasts, trips to the US Open, world travel, playing dominos and bunco, and hosting holiday meals for her family. More recently, her family learned of an affinity for Fireball and Espresso Martinis. As she got older and experienced multiple physical hardships, it was the love and support of her family and friends that gave her the strength and hope to carry on. For this, her children are forever indebted.
The family will receive friends at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air (610 W. MacPhail Road Bel Air, MD 21014) on Monday, August 1st from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ignatius Church (533 E Jarrettsville Rd, Forest Hill, MD 21050) on Tuesday August 2nd at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation.
