Erica Lynn Wishart

Erica Lynn Wishart, age 48, of Rising Sun, Maryland passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Devoted daughter of Joseph and Christine Altmann; beloved mother of Robert Joseph Wishart, Emily Grace Wishart, Abigail Elizabeth Wishart, and Christian Layton Wishart; dear sister of Amy Elizabeth Jahnigen; and significant other to Brian Warter. Also survived by their children’s father Andrew Wishart; and by many other loving family members and friends.

Erica’s passion was teaching. Serving as a Special Educator for many years, she later moved to the Media Specialist role, serving multiple schools simultaneously. Her goal was always the same, to reach each individual child, to care for them on a personal level, and inspire them to be lifelong learners.

She was a natural mother, nurturing her 4 beloved children, and inspiring them to seek out and achieve their dreams. Her children were her heart, and her love and encouragement were woven into their academic, athletic and spiritual journeys.

A visitation for Erica will be held at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Road Bel Air, MD 21014 on Sunday, June 30 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 1 at 11am.

Private Family Interment to follow.
