Elmer Leonard Plunkert Jr., age 84, of Forest Hill, Maryland passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Katherine L. Plunkert; dear brother of the late Alma McAvoy; devoted father of Steven L. Plunkert and his wife Missy, Sami Scarborough and her husband David, and Dean M. Plunkert; loving grandfather of Steven L. Plunkert, Jr. and his wife Amber, Zachary L. Plunkert and his wife Katie, Tucker L. Plunkert and his wife Rhiannon, Skyler McLaughlin, Jordan E. Brokus and his fiancée Bailey Joyce, Dakota J. Brokus, and Julian P. Brokus; cherished great-grandfather of Alma C. Plunkert, Charles L. Plunkert, and Jordan E. Brokus, Jr.; also survived by Edward J. Brokus and Kyle McLaughlin.

A visitation for Elmer will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM, 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. The interment will take place at 12:00 PM in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E Padonia Rd, Timonium, MD 21093.
