Donna was born on September 11, 1948 in Havre de Grace, Maryland to Fletcher and Viola Church. She attended Bel Air High School and graduated in 1966. She worked for Western Electric and over 20 years at Frederick Ward & Associates on Main Street in Bel Air.
Throughout her life, Donna was active in her community. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, president of the Bel Air Middle School PTA, and was an original organizer of the annual Bel Air BBQ Bash. She enjoyed shopping and listening to music, particularly from the 60’s and 70’s. Hosting family and friends for various holidays brought her great enjoyment. She was also an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Fletcher, mother, Viola, husband Anthony Proto, and her husband Otto Albrecht. She is survived by her daughter Michele Lomax (John), sons Nicholas and Johnathon (Gretchen) Albrecht, grandchildren Cameron Ayres, Erika and Annalise Albrecht, sisters Charlotte Oteyza, Janet Wilmoth, and Judy Tejeda, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014, on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 5-8 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 1PM. Interment will follow at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
