Donald Edward Tankersley

Donald Edward Tankersley of Fallston, Maryland passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Lelia Anne Tankersley (nee Manning) and devoted father of Michael E. Tankersley and his spouse Mern Horan, Richard A. Tankersley and his spouse Paola Lopez-Duarte, and Kenneth B. Tankersley and his spouse Shannon Tankersley. He was the loving and devoted grandfather to seven grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Katherine Byrnes and brother Thomas Glanville.

Donald was born on September 18, 1935 in Baltimore, MD to the late Catherine Margaret Glanville (nee Meyers). He graduated in 1957 from Western Maryland College (McDaniel College) and served in the Army Reserves from 1957 to 1968. He married Lelia A. Manning in 1959. In 1991, he retired from Bethlehem Steel after 33 years as a Senior Business Systems Analyst.
