Donald Arthur Johnson

On May 17, 2023 Donald Johnson passed away. He was the beloved husband of Theresa M. Johnson (nee Guzzone); devoted father of Donald Johnson and his wife Denise, Richard Johnson, Craig Johnson and his wife Angela, David Johnson and his wife Jennifer, and Julie Marshall and her husband Todd; cherished grandfather of Amanda Ayers (Matt), Christopher Johnson (Erin), Alyssa Johnson, Sarah Salain (Max), Ryan Johnson, Caroline Johnson, Graham Johnson, Collin Gay, Corey Gay, and Emily Marshall; loving great-grandfather of Hannah Ayers, Levi Ayers, Zoey Johnson, and Theo Johnson; dear brother of Evelyn Moen (Wally), Lorraine Thompson, Richard Johnson (Eileen), Carol Veum (Raymond), and Gary Johnson (Karen); he is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Don and Theresa were happily married for 65 years. Don loved going to the gym, in fact he would be in the parking lot waiting for the gym to open in the morning when it was still dark outside. He loved wood working in his garage, and over the years had made many toy trucks and rocking horses for his grandkids. He enjoyed a nice glass of red wine and a lot of hot coffee, but more than anything else spending time with his family. His face would light up when his grandkids walked in the room.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014 on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM, service will be live streamed through the funeral home website. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
