Charles William Van Kirk

In loving memory of Charles William Van Kirk, a cherished father, adored grandfather, devoted husband, and beloved brother. His life was a testament to love, rock’n’roll, and unwavering commitment to family and friends. As a father, his guidance shaped the lives and hearts of Sandy, Soo-Lynn, and Amy; as a grandfather (aka Chucky Poo), his love and laughter created lasting memories for Logan, Kiri, and Cael. As a dedicated husband, he shared a love that stood the test of time with the apple of his eye, Doris for 45 years. Also, survived by his fur/ feather babies Ying, Yang, and Spike. A loving brother whose kindness, craziness, and camaraderie will be dearly missed by Carol, Jacob, and Kimberly. He was preceded in death by his mother June and his brother Sonny.

May his legacy of love, laughter, and marching to the beat of his own drum, be lasting memories that we keep close to our hearts as we mourn his passing.

A receiving of family and friends for Charles will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. Immediately following the service there will be food and drinks.

In lieu of flowers please bring a keepsake or picture to the memorial that reminds you of him that his wife and daughter can keep to honor his life.
