All who knew our Babe were blessed by the many lessons she taught simply by the way she lived. She was a Mother, Sister, Grams, Great-Grams, Aunt, Wife, and Friend...... she was all of those things with an abundance of Grace and Love. For 87 years she showed us that a selfless love for others is possible as a way of life. Our grammother and sister taught us that everyone is entitled to their own opinion including Politics and Religion. A very important lesson that she taught us is that every party is better with a glass of White Zin (which is pink) and it should have a little ice in it. She didn’t love cats but they loved her and to her they appeared as vicious tigers. Their was nothing that was more precious to her than family.
We will remember Babe for always keeping the rug lint free and the lawn free of any one blade of grass being longer than the others. Nothing could be out of place there is a place for everything. She had an incredible intuition, somehow knowing how you were doing before you said a word and even when you were thousands of miles away. She was tough & resilient, she had a depth to love and forgive, and she was admired by anybody fortunate enough to know her well. She loved clouds and took the time to enjoy the natural wonders of our world. Above all things, she was a fantastic mother, who so fiercely loved her Tommy.
She was ready to go, and she went the way she wanted to, at peace, and comfortable. So though we are left with a hole that was only and ever filled by Babe, we celebrate a life well lived and say happy journey onward, you’ve earned it.
