Brian Keith DeLuca

On February 22, 2023, Brian K. DeLuca passed away. He was the beloved partner of Cindy Kleback; loving brother of Romy DeLuca and his wife Sandy, and the late Mary Catherine "Cathy" Jones; cherished uncle of Chris, Elizabeth, Alex, Paul, and Jamie; loving great-uncle of Avriel and Ayla. He is also survived by his beloved cat Callie.

A lifelong lover of learning, Brian was a proud graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College and Kent State University, where he earned Master's degrees in History and Library Science. In his career as a librarian in public libraries, Brian loved connecting readers to books he thought they would enjoy. He was the founder and leader of the Other Worlds Book Club, a book discussion and social group that serves as a platform for the study and appreciation of speculative fiction, graphic novels, science, and literacy in all forms of media. Other Worlds was especially meaningful as a means to connect with his friends when his health kept him close to home.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014 on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 12PM-2PM, where a Funeral Service will be held at 2PM. A luncheon at the funeral home will follow the services. Interment private.
