A child of God and devoted woman to family and close friends. She was the daughter of Manuel Perez-Muniz & Maria Alejandrina Perez. Born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in Santurce on July 26th, 1932.
She was a sister and guiding light to Rafael, Anna, Angel, and Ida Ortiz. She was also sister to another brother named Rafael (May he rest in peace, and Elvira).
At the age of 14, Anna moved to Brooklyn New York. She was a tall, beautiful, classy young lady that passed for 18, as she told employers, in order to find work. From this very young age, Anna learned the importance of caring for family, hard work, and saving money. A few years later she met and married Fazil Ali. She bore six children: Fazil the 2nd (also known as Amir or Tony, may he rest in peace), (twins) Mohamed and Yusef (may he rest in peace), Saadia, Zeinab, and Fauzia Ali. She was a devoted loving grandmother to: Moe the 2nd, Jamila, Tyler, Lisette, Nichole, Eli, Laisa, Brooke, Ricardo, Saadia, Zeinab, and Pierre. She also has 8 beautiful great-grandkids.
Anna later married Dr. Edward S. Murray where they became a blended family with the childen of Dr. Murray; Brian, Glenn, and Denise Murray (may she rest in peace).
Anna was a respected woman of faith, who cared for many, and lived a life serving others. She was about family; caring and looking out for one another. She was very careful about who she trusted but once she considered you family or a friend, her love was authentic. She may be gone from the flesh but her spirit shall live strong within us all. May peace be with you as you remember and cherish the memories of Anna D. Perez-Murray.
