Sarah Jane Paugh

Sarah was born at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana on July 16, 1946, to Frank G. and Sarah Lavern (Cloyd) Paugh. At some point she was nick-named “Sis” by one of her older siblings, Marjorie (Margie), Charles or William (Bill), and it stuck her whole life. A lifelong resident of the Beech Grove and Indianapolis area, she moved to the Fairborn, Ohio to be near her brother Bill’s family in of July 2023.

She was a graduate of Harry E. Wood HS, Indianapolis, salutatorian of the class of 1964 and a member of the National Honor Society. Through the years she attended classes in accounting at the Indianapolis campus of the University of Indiana and various professional business courses. Sarah worked over 25 years for the St. Paul Insurance Companies, CMS Management Services, and the Jackson Group.

Sarah was proceeded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her sister-in-law Jaqueline (Davidson) Paugh, nieces and nephews, and numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Most of us have at least one afghan or some other piece she crocheted or knitted for us over the years.

Visitation is 10:00am, with the funeral at 11:00am on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. Interment will take place later in the day at Washington Park East Cemetery.
