Ruth Ann Fairman

73, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away on April 24th, 2020. She was born on May 21st, 1946 at Saint Francis Hospital in Beech Grove to Robert J. and Sigrid R. Schoo. Ruth would be a lifelong resident of Beech Grove. A sister to Raymond R. Schoo, she graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1964. Ruth then graduated from the Dwyer School of Business and took a position at the Indiana Department of Revenue as a secretary in 1965. She worked there for 12 years, becoming an Executive Secretary. While there, Ruth met David Doyle Fairman and they were married on March 29th, 1969. Their son, David Randolph Fairman (“Randy”), was born in 1977.

Ruth liked to travel and enjoyed television and listening to pop and country music. She was a sports fan, especially of the Colts and Pacers and loved the Indianapolis 500 each year. She also loved dachshunds, owning two over her lifetime.

Ruth was predeceased by her father Robert, mother Sigrid, and husband David.

She is survived by members of the Fairman family from California, her brother Raymond, and son Randy.

Ruth was a loving and caring mother, sister and friend to everyone she would meet. She devoted her life to her family and friends.

A wake will be held at Little & Sons Funeral Home in Beech Grove with a Celebration of Life memorial to be held at a later date.
