Ronald "Ron" Wayne Alford

Ronald "Ron" Wayne Alford, age 82, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born on August 2, 1938 in Beech Grove to the late Curtis and Mildred Alford. Ron graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1956. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army. Ron married Sondra K. Johns on January 20, 1962. Ron worked for General Motors for many years. He was an active member of Beech Grove Eagles Aerie 4167 and the American Legion Post 276. Ron was also very involved in Beech Grove Little League. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sondra K. Alford; children, Jeff (Mindy) Alford, Debbie Alford, Dan (Ann) Alford and Kevin (Heather) Alford; grandchildren, Andrew (Nikki) Teglas, Tylor Alford, Kayla (Tony) Hizer, Elizabeth Alford, Alyssa Alford, Colin Alford, Madelyn Alford, Nolan Alford, Clara Alford and Rebekah Alford; great granddaughter, Maya Hizer; and siblings, Bob Alford, Dale (Marty) Alford, Colleen (Dave) Keller, Doyle (Connie) Alford and Shelia Alford. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN 46107. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
