Paul, a good friend here in earth as we shared the love of country and were like minded in world affairs that affect this country. He was Southern Commander and I, Northern Command as we’d sign off at night on many a long conversations this way; “Northern command singing off, or he’d say, “Southern Command, out!” 
  God was the author of Paul’s life.  Paul loved God, his dad and people around him. We brought each other laughs and smiles in phone talks! 

 It’s been 2 years and we are only here but on a single grain of sand in the wind of time. Love God with all your heart, mind and soul! God blessed me with Paul here in earth.  We will speak again in heaven and then in the Mew Earth as said so in the Bible.

Paulie and PJ attend funeral reception in Dayton of my brother Stephen Hoffman in 2017.  My last time seeing them both.

I was sad to learn by accident that my uncle Paulie and his son, PJ, had both died. My mother (age 93), Margaret (Schneider) Hoffman was Paulie's  sister, did not even know of either death. Needless to say we were all shocked. Paulie and PJ both attended my brother Stephen Hoffman's funeral service and this was the last time we saw both of them. Paulie was always humorous and loving to me. I could not have asked for a more gentle uncle. I recall as a young teenager, Paulie giving me his trumpet. I spent so much time trying to figure it out (without any music training) and found myself playing along with major artists like Herb Alpert. Paulie was amazed at how quickly I learned it. He is with me and my family in spirit and I send my condolences (albeit late) to the family. 

God bless a wonderful man in Paul! He served our nation and served God! Will miss the laughs and talks we had! Paul sr. and son Paul jr, have been great friends to me.  God bless them! 

It’s so hard to believe my last surviving grandfather is gone. He was always there for me when I was a young girl. Seen him many times in Beech Grove at fair and Pizza Hut. This last photo of us was on my wedding day.

My grandpa was one of my best friends. We talked almost daily and we loved to just be in each other’s company. He always made me laugh. He was a special man and anyone who  was blessed enough to know him knew he had a kind heart. He loved to help others and we shared our love for our dogs! Grandpa loved my French bulldog Lil Mac and enjoyed it when he was around.  I have many memories as a little girl at grandma and grandpas on the holidays. He put up amazing Christmas lights every year and made the holidays magical! I’m lucky to have had such a great papaw! I will miss him terribly. Rest In Peace papaw. 

St. Vincent de Paul of Brown County where Paul volunteered for many years sends our expression of grief and sense of loss to Paul's family.   He gave loving care to us as volunteers and to all whom he served.  He will be missed.  His name will be added to a plaque maintained at our pantry at 2901 Long Lake Road, Nashville, IN in memory of his service.   Shirley Boardman, sboardma@iu.edu 

What a great old man he was. He would give anybody anything even if he could not afford to do it. I had a great pleasure helping him out for the past 12 years. I will miss you my friend.

Rest in peace, Paul, and thank you for your many years of service on the St. Agnes Finance Committee.  I enjoyed our friendship and your fine example.

Going to Miss Snr. Would have lunch and he would still be taking care of anyone sitting around the table. In his older years was still a pretty witty. Even thru the dialysis years he always cared for His Son still did food pantry to serve the needy.  God speed  P.Snr
