84, of Beech Grove, passed away on November 15, 2013. Beloved father of Susan (Ken) Adams, Debra (Clayton) Chamberlain, John Stewart Jr., Carol Riley, Linda Zumstein, Gordon Cocke and Robert Cocke. Dear brother of Edward Stewart. Dearest grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 23. John was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Florence; his wife, Lucy; and his siblings, Marguerite Bumpus, Lavy Stewart, Betty Glenn, Joe Stewart and Charles Stewart. John served in the Korean War, retired from the U.S. National Guard and was an active member of the Beech Grove American Legion, VFW and Holy Name Catholic Church. Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Holy Name Catholic Church with visitation on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 4-8 PM at Little and Sons Stop Eleven Chapel. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
